Join Troop 331, 332 or Crew 331

Troop 331 and 332 are proud to be part of the Sam Houston area Council. The Troops always welcoming the upcoming Webelo’s that are crossing over to the Cub Scout Program. Our Troop also welcome  Scouts that have been relocated from other cities or looking for a different scouting experience.

Troop meets every Monday night from 7:30pm until 8:30pm at the Northwoods Presbyterian Church at the corner of 1960 and TC Jester. Our Church has been great to our troop and provided our own space, The “Scout Hut” located at the rear of the church and a room in the youth center for the adults to congregate and help where needed.

Not only do we have our two troops, but we have a Co-Ed Crew 331 that takes part in High Adventure activities. Remember Crew is for young men and ladies ages 14 to 21 that would like to have a more adventurous scouting experience. Over the last ten years our Crew has trekked across the mountain ranges in New Mexico at the Philmont Scout reservation on three separate occasions and dove off into the Atlantic off the Florida Keys as part of the Sea Base Scuba Adventure twice. We are continuously looking for new experiences for this group to participate in.

Parents are a big part of the Scouts journey and play a major role in the development of our troop and crew. Don’t be intimidated by all the talk of outdoor adventures, our committee plays a key part of everything we do. They help with the day to day operations of the troop, like scheduling events, helping set up fundraisers and ensuring the scouts have everything thy need to enjoy their adventures. If you are the outdoor type, the Assistant Scoutmaster positions are always open to adults 21 and over and we have no limit on how many can be part of the troop. All of our adult volunteers must BSA background checked and YPT (Youth Protection Training) Certified to participate in any event.

Be sure to hit up the contact page to get in touch and find out where we meet and how to join!
