Canoe Trip September 2026

Troop 331 recently headed to Guadalupe State Park for an exciting adventure on the Guadalupe River, where our Scouts put their canoeing skills to the test on a 9-mile journey downstream!

Throughout the day, Scouts practiced watercraft safety, strengthened their teamwork skills, enjoyed a delicious trail lunch, and even took a few unexpected dips in the river! Despite a few splashes along the way, everyone made it back in one piece, with plenty of stories to tell.

Three of our Scouts had the opportunity to earn their Canoeing Merit Badge, while others made progress toward rank advancement requirements. But the learning didn’t stop on the water! Our older Scouts had the opportunity to put their leadership skills into action by helping plan the trip and guiding our newer Scouts through the preparation and cooking of five different meals.

From paddling down the river to cooking together at camp, the weekend was filled with adventure, laughter, teamwork, and opportunities for growth.

With another successful canoe trip in the books, our Scouts are already looking forward to next year’s adventure!
